a) The conference will be hybrid. Most of the talks will be given in an auditorium in Lens and retransmitted online
As in 2021, the conference is divided into two parts. The first part is the NCRA, the second part consists of a one-day meeting " quadratic forms, rings, and codes" (on the 31st of August 2023).
The details about this meeting will be available very soon..
The idea is to encourage transversal cooperation between different branches of Algebra. We encourage you to attend this meeting as well.
b) As for the previous editions of this conference, the aim is to gather specialists in ring theory and in areas where this theory is used (for example in representation theory, coding theory, cryptography).
I am very happy to announce that Professor Michela Ceria, Politecnico di Bari (Italy) Department of Mechanics, Mathematics and Management.
( Information ) will give the
course this year (6 hours).
c) The course by Michela Ceria will be given from 1.30 pm-3.15 pm (European time) with a 10-minute break.
The talk will be focused on rank metric codes. Amongst topics that will appear let us mention
linearized polynomials, q-matroids, and finite geometry.
Besides the course, there will be 4 plenary talks (from 3.30 pm-4.30 pm) given by
Steven Dougherty (Scranton University),
Alberto Facchini (Padova University) ,
Cesar Polcino Milies (Sao Paulo),
Sergio Lopez-Permouth (Ohio University, Athens).
Two sessions will be organized for participants who want to present their recent results
during short 20 minutes talks. One session will be from 9.00 a.m. to 12.00 a.m. (European time) and the other one will
take place from 4.45 p.m. to 6.45 p.m.
To sum up: 9.00 am-12.00 am (talks session 1); 1.30 pm-3.25 pm (Michela Ceria's course); 3.30 pm-4.30 pm (plenary talks);
4.45 p.m. to 6.45 p.m. (talks second session)
We will encourage exchanges between the participants by opening thematic rooms.
The course and all the talks will be recorded and available online
When you will register to give a talk you will be asked in which session you want to talk.
Even if you don't intend to give a talk, we would appreciate you registering,...So that we can send you updates.

Social and cultural event
The classical visit of "le Louvre-Lens" will be organized for those attending in Lens. For the persons who will take part online, we will try to take photos and videos of the visit and post them online. You can also have access to the virtual
short visit at the following URL.

Arriving in Lens
BY PLANE There are 4 different airports not too far from Lens;
Lesquin (International Air Transport Association: LIL). This is the airport of Lille
(the biggest city in the north of France)
It is the closest (35 km from Lens). If you arrive at this airport you will have to take a bus to
the Lille railway station (Lille Flandres) and then take a train to Lens.
Notice that as far as I know there are no connections by plane between Charles de Gaulle airport and Lesquin
so even if your ticket plane says that you have a stop in CDG and then go to Lesquin it is highly probable that
this last part of your journey (from CDG to Lesquin) will be by train! Lesquin (Lille) airport
Charles de Gaulle at Roissy (IATA code: PAR; ICAO code: CDG). This is the most likely airport of
arrival if you are coming from abroad. There is a train station and you can connect directly to
Lens or go to Lille and in Lille take a train to Lens (this is sometimes faster since there are
not too many direct trains from CDG to Lens). CDG airport
Connection between CDG airport and Lens
Train from CDG airport
Beauvais (IATA code BVA) This airport is very close to the city of Beauvais (Tillé).
You could arrive at this airport especially if you use low-fare airlines. There is a frequent bus shuttle to the
center of Beauvais and from there you can take a train to Lens via Paris Nord 'and possibly with a stop in Arras) Beauvais airport train connections from Beauvais
Charleroi (IATA code CRL) This airport is in Belgium (also called Brussels south airport).
This airport is not too far from Lens but you will have to take a shuttle to Brussels or to Charleroi
and then take a train to Lens (probably via Lille). There are quite a few low-cost companies using this airport. Charleroi Airport
The meeting "Quadratic Forms, Rings, and Codes" will take place in Lens
